AGC Electronics America is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak, the resulting state, city, or regional shelter-in-place orders, the needs of our own employee population, and the needs of our customers.
We currently maintain a full production schedule, while complying with our governor’s orders. If the outbreak affects our ability to continue production, we will, of course, communicate with all our customers and employees and provide updates based on the then-current business conditions.
We took immediate steps to stop business travel and to facilitate frequent sanitization throughout the plant. We staggered schedules and breaks to ensure social distancing for those employees required to come to work, instituted work from home opportunities for those whose positions permit, and expanded how our leave policies may be applied. On March 18th, a new federal law was signed to support employees and their families in caring for each other during this time. We are reviewing the new law and its provisions applicable laws and related guidance as it is being developed for this situation to ensure compliance, with a key focus of ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate.
Our goal is to do everything we can to try to protect our employees and ensuring we all remain healthy!
